In honor of all the amazing work Community Service Organizations do with teens I would like to gift you with 3 tools to help you manage your millennial volunteers.
Google Voice
Millennials are more likely to communicate via text than email or the traditional phones which most of your offices provide. However, giving all your volunteers your cell phone numbers is not very appealing to most of you. Google voice allows you to set up a free routing number, organize and send text messages just like with an email application, and make calls from your computer.
Trello.com
Trello is an interactive to-do list to organize both your own life and project progress with remote volunteers. Global Youth Service Day cites “To Do Doing Done” lists as a great way to keep teens on track. Trello takes that effective strategy to a digital platform, making it easy to collaborate from anywhere.
The Email Game
Combating the constant flow into your inbox is to fun. The Email Game helps you cope by applying gamification to your email. It has emoticons that respond to your progress, timers that ensure effective time management, and a points system to reward productivity.
